Background: 

Miscellany is a unique boutique gift shop based in Epsom, Surrey. They are an established retail outlet who have a good customer base, but wanted to take on the online world and spread their wings.

Project Brief: 

The brief was to design and build a cute e-commerce store which enabled the client to sell a few of her items, from handbags to homemade jewellery to baby clothes.

Our Approach: 

We opted to look into current styles, as the client saw herself as quite a fashion / trend focused outlet, and wanted her website to communicate this as part of her brand.

Due to the clients budget restraints we installed the e-commerce platform Zencart, which at the time was a powerful, free, open-source shopping cart, enabling the client complete control of her stock and SEO.

Results: 

The design is elegant with a salvaged twist. The ornate patterns and deep colour tones really help communicate the clients brand. The use of product photography gives this website a unique but friendly feel.

The website has now taken a back seat within the clients business, as she has now opened up a new store offering unique furniture to her customers which is really booming. The client plans to pick things up again with Creativitea™ in Autumn 2010 and take her online store to the next level.
