Paul Newman Illustration

Paul Newman Illustration

Having been given the challenge of adapting to the Wacom tablet; an electronic pen that writes onto a board, or tablet, that sends the information directly onto the computer screen, I set about creating something with style, something with class, something with an undeniable dignity. A bootleg is a term used for copyright infringement. This is a 'bootleg' I did the other evening when i was bored at home, it's in the style made famous by Shepard Fairey and Obey.

Now these guys are pretty cool about this type of thing and actually encourage bootlegging their stuff on their website so we didn't mind posting this stuff up for a bit of fun!

I have also put a download link below the meta details of this post so you can download it for your desktop background if you like it.

Together with Geek Squad, we helped bring their timeline graphic up to date, illustrating simply and succinctly the history of the Squad.

If you want to see it for yourself, make your way down to Oxford Street and check it out!

Inkygoodness’ London Play Exhibition

Inkygoodness’ Play

The tea*m were invited to attend the exclusive viewing of Inkygoodness’ debut London exhibition Play at the East Gallery in Brick Lane. Being fans of all kinds of art and illustration, it was an offer we couldn’t refuse.

Making our way through seemingly every single curry house this side of India, each one with their very own man making promises at the door, we finally arrived at lost. Not soon after, with a little help from a guard, we managed to leave lost and find what we came looking for: the East Gallery.

History of an archetype: The Batman Emblem

Insignia from Batman (1989)

Fitting the description of an archetype perfectly, the Batman emblem is one that was in place when the Dark Knight made his debut nearly 7 decades ago, and one from which all subsequent designs have been based, some more drastically different than others, but all recognisable as Batman’s insignia.
